Performance boost for my CITY i-DTEC!

Hello fasbeamers, this is my first post on this forum,I hope you like the write up.

In 2014,we bought a Honda City VX iDTEC for my uncles daily office commute and ocasional road trip.It has been a great ownership experience and even the new diesel motor is working pretty good. When the car was new,the performance was satisfying and felt par for the course. But after 4 years,I have driven a lot of diesel cars from Creta to the Rapid and after driving these powerful machines,my City feels just adequate and not POWERFUL.I am planning to get a remap done but have no idea about how it will affect the other mechanicals of the motor and the big question, will it reduce the life of the motor?

I have also heard about something called a tuning box,can someone also elaborate about that:)

Happy motoring!

You can get the remap done but it will affect mileage (because you will push it harder). Also the reliability of the motor will get affected. Honda makes some great petrol engines but their diesel engine reliability is yet to be proven. I would suggest going slow, opting for a better air filter first and then if you really need more power, consider the remap.

Thank you Faisal Sir! The reason we did not went for the V TEC was that our running was a bit on the higher side.

Go for perfomance parts like borla exhaust and air filters and many parts forge are offering

I don't think an exhaust will help much on a diesel car.
