I was considering to take Verna 1.4 Ex petrol as my budget is strictly below 10L? What's your take on the car and any other suggestion?

Buddy as per me your choice is great. My neighbour has also bought the same verient. I have tested this verient and its pritty impressive. The features on offer are amazing, the audio quality is great, nice boot space, supportive seats, airconditon works well (rather very well). The overall fit finish is good, the body design is impressive but the problem comes at the rear as there is desent legroom, the under thigh support is slightly on the lower side, headroom is good and only three people are comfortable at the rear. However the overall performance(the milage, engine spec, displacement, etc) is good. I would also like to tell you to test the new civic.

Hope you are satified but if not faisal sir will definately help you. Hope. you make a good choice.😃😃😃

Thanks Prathmesh. After taking a test drive, what I felt was that the engine was bit below par and not like the typical Verna. But that absolutely fine with me but my only major concern is the mileage. I couldn't get the mileage details of this variant, even from the dealer

Mostly what happens is that the milage depends on the speed range on which we drive frequently. Means if the speed always exeeds 130 kmph, the milage might get lower. As i have experienced this with my XUV500 (w6). So it is sometimes dificult to find it. The milage of this verient of verna might be more than 17(roughly).

It's a decent car and has more than enough performance for city driving.

As you are concerned about FE,you should also take a look at the Maruti Ciaz as it comes with SHVS which can help you save fuel at signals. There's also more space on offer.

Moving away from maruti, so I'm kinda not considering ciaz

If you can streach ur budget just a little bit somehow, the Honda City SV variant is just under 11 lakh and is d best petrol manual transmission car in the segment. It has way more power and more interior space as well. The extra money spent is totally worth and dont forget the better resale value also as compared to Verna 1.4..

You are right but the verna is also a tough rival to the city and stand up to the mark with good feedback.
