Honda City petrol manual or Vento TSI DSG for enthusiasts?

Hello Faisal and Members,

I know it is not fair to compare Manual vs Automatic, but if you have to choose one for performance, fun to drive and for high speed stability, which one would you? Honda City petrol manual or Vento TSI DSG?

Both are fun to drive. I love Honda's 1.5 i-vtec more. The vento is more stable on high speeds though, not that the city is far behind. But city is more reliable and a better package overall. The 1.2 dsg causes problems somethimes. Not in every car though.

I will choose a manual stick any day for fun and that too with an VTEC is a match made in heaven!

But when it comes to high speed stability, the VW wins hands down.It feels unshakable when you reach three digit speeds.

And I have to accept that DSGs are quite fun.

But they are not reliable.

So I'll go with the VTEC.

Faisal, which one will be your pick?

I would pick the Honda City VTEC MT, nothing beats a manual gearbox.

Thanks for the reply Faisal. I heard next gen city VTEC is not very far. Hope the wait turns out more fruitful.. delayed gratification :)

Wish they release something like city sports with 1.8 ivtec MT. That would be the best bet. I know I am dreaming too much. ;)

1.5L I-VTEC motor with a slick manual gearbox is a match made in heaven. City I-VTEC is just phenomenal
