ASPIRE OR FREESTYLE

After some research i have shortlisted Figo Aspire petrol or Ford Freestyle.I would be using for sometimes in the city and sometime for long drives. I want to use this car for like 7 years.

Please suggest me Which one to buy ?

Go for the Freestyle or wait for the Aspire facelift.

The Freestyle has a better petrol engine and the petrol engine on Aspire is not at all good. Also Aspire misses on features like Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, reverse parking camera and only gets 14 inch wheels. If you can wait, then go for the upcoming Aspire Facelift or currently go for the Freestyle.

Thank you Faisal and Arnavvaghela..I think i would go for freestyle... because the dealers are not clear on when the new aspire is coming and i guess it would be very costly..some dealers have agreed to give the current aspire for 7 and i think new aspire mid variant would go to 8.5 lacs...and would not have any ofers and would have stretch my budget...

The new Aspire is coming next month, dealers can't reveal it as they have to clear inventory.

Hi Faisal . I just went and saw New Honda amaze and really impressed with the features that it offers with base and space inside..Also I saw your review that it’s the best compact sedan.. but I have heard from some friends that the Honda vehicles will get damaged easily.. Since you are an expert in this area request you to please tell me whether this is a better option than Freestyle?

I have been owning a Honda City since 2012. The car has given me no problems and is very reliable also the servicing is also not on the expensive side. The 1.2L petrol engine of Amaze is a bit lacking, its power is all at the top end, not as bad as Aspires engine though. For petrol I would recommend the Dzire, its engine is best in the segment. Still, if you like the Amaze, its great if you don’t drive spiritedly.

Thank you. Is desire fit for long drives as well? On highways?

Even owning a Baleno petrol which has the same platform and Engine, I would say that on highways its engine doesn’t feels stressed and can easily cruise around 100-120 kmph. But due to the light weight sudden braking doesn’t inspire confidence as much as the Honda and the rear seat comfort is hampered by stiff ride quality (Dzire is a bit softly sprung than Baleno, still feels stiffer than Amaze). Still the stability on highway is quite good, also the mileage of Suzuki petrol engine is phenomenal.

Hi  Arnavvaghela..I have finally decided to go with the New Dzire..

Thanks for the comments🙂

Congratulations. What made you choose the Dzie over the Freestyle?

Aug 14, 2018

I decided because I basically wanted a sedan for my family in city sometimes as well as for long drives to my hometown..I felt that Dzire has more comfortable interiors for 4ppl to travel comfortably than freestyle. Also the interior of Dzire is in light colours which makes it a little more pleasing. And at last this this being my first car if I wanted to upgrade after sometime Dzire will give give an edge.

Did not wait for new aspire as that would stretch my budget and I am taking a petrol manual

And initially I did not notice the new Dzire much and I saw your review and then went a checked out..

Great choice!

I own the Dzire petrol, it's a excellent car, just change the tyres if you want to corner hard (maruti provides the Bridgestone ecopia but I have upgraded to Yokohama earth 1 for better grip)

Ok thanks. !! I am planning to take the alloy with VXI version Does this tyre change cost much much?
